Executive Director

Amanda joined Rêve Academy with extensive experience in national and international education contexts, holding roles that ranged from classroom teacher and instructional coach to adjunct faculty at Hamline University. With a passion for working with diverse student populations, she brings inclusive practices into her design of peer coaching, curriculum, and pedagogy.

Throughout her career, she’s held numerous leadership positions that utilize her strategic thinking and desire to co-create innovative solutions. It’s this experience that fuels her passion for Rêve Academy’s work. By engaging students in new ways, we’re equipping them for the workforce and inspiring them to plan for the future. Amanda believes that this process helps youth themselves build the capacity they need for success.

What I’m most proud of
Seeing the tremendous growth that our students can achieve after just a few months of engaging with Rêve Academy.

Eliza joined Rêve Academy with experience in SaaS and digital marketing, content creation, and the scrappiness that can only come from working at a tech startup. Her interest in the nonprofit world has developed into a full-blown passion for managing Rêve Academy’s strategic advancement. She’s always looking for opportunities to improve operational efficiency and tell student stories in the most authentic way possible.

Creating a library of student stories—now everybody can see how amazing our kids are!

Sarah Woessner

Director of Student-Run Businesses

Sarah came to Rêve Academy with more than seven years of student-centric experience at the University of Minnesota in academic advising, student affairs, financial aid, and new student orientation programming. Combining a liberal arts and a business mindset, Sarah cares about achieving positive social impact for people and communities by leveraging best practices from business. She believes innovative educational opportunities, especially teaching practical technical skills in applied settings, will reduce our community’s educational gap and enrich our pipeline of future employees.

What I’m most proud of
The professional quality, client-delighting work that Rêve Academy interns deliver.

Vision for my role
Supporting Student Run-Businesses as we become the leading program in two distinct areas: teaching digital skills to our future workforce and producing impressive digital content for our clients.

Melissa Weiler

Volunteer Manager

Melissa joined Rêve Academy with over 15 years of human resources and recruiting experience, including community engagement and event management. She runs the recruitment process for Digiteers (digital volunteers) for the Student-Run Businesses program. Beyond recruitment, Melissa ensures that volunteers have plenty of opportunities to share feedback with staff, connect with youth, and become passionate brand ambassadors.

Being able to connect with great people in our community and share Rêve Academy’s mission.

Amanda joined Reve Academy with years of experience in public accounting, as well as a skill for creating training programs and on-boarding experiences for new employees. She now builds streamlined reporting processes for Rêve Academy and supports the organization in scaling with quality.

Jenna joins Rêve Academy as a corporate intern from Dougherty Family College after working as a senior intern at Student-Run Businesses. She now focuses on supporting the professional development of Rêve Academy’s student leaders, as well as refining and tracking Rêve Academy’s financial goals.

What I’m most proud of
As a Student-Run Businesses intern, learning what it meant to be diligent in my work. That led to me being promoted and leading my team in designing and selling custom apparel.

To graduate from St. Thomas and become a full-time team member at Rêve Academy.

Anthony is a senior intern at Rêve Academy’s Student-Run Businesses, leading a team of interns through digital projects. With expertise in sports, his career goal is to run his own sports design business. At Rêve Academy, he specializes in graphic design, branding, and sharing his positive personality with clients and team members.

What I’m most proud of
Getting to where I am at today. I didn’t graduate on time, which brought me to Metro Heights Academy and gave me the opportunity to become a Rêve Academy intern. Without failure, I wouldn’t have achieved one of my greatest accomplishments in my young life.

Vision for my role
To make sure my interns grow as individuals and business people. I’m always encouraging people to push their limits and try to step out of their comfort zones every once in a while. You need to test your limits—that is when you’ll truly grow as a person.
