Brian knew that overcoming procrastination was key to his success.
“I run a YouTube channel with 300 subscribers that’s focused on gaming. I’ve always been interested in tech stuff. In the past I was a huge procrastinator—with school, chores, even my YouTube channel—but Rêve Academy has helped me build a stronger work ethic.
Now I get my work done at a reasonable time and I try to work hard. Just yesterday I was doing a little work from home on my project because we needed to get it done.”

“My product idea is the GoMoLight, a solar-powered phone case that charges your cell phone battery all day. I came up with it by thinking about what I would want from a new product. My phone battery dies on me all the time, and even when I carry a battery to charge it, it’s a hassle. Phone case batteries exist but they run out of battery and then you have to plug it in. I’m on the go a lot, so I thought, ‘What if the sun could charge it?’.
Having my idea be chosen as the team’s final project was very exciting. I put so much effort in, so to have it pay off was an amazing feeling.”

He took on the challenge of leading a team.
“In school, at home, wherever I’m at, I’m usually the one following. I don’t usually step into leadership roles, I let other people do that. Now I’m being pushed into it.
At first I was nervous but now I feel that it’s good for me. I’m more confident in my work after this experience. My idea was chosen over the other product ideas, which were also great. And in our project for Revival, I was asked to be CEO of the business.
I’m new to the whole leadership thing, but I’m working on it. I try to help direct people in my group. Sometimes group members stop focusing, which is when I say, ‘So what do you think? What do you think we could do?’. I want to try to start a business and I need leadership skills for that. So it’s definitely gonna help me in the future.”
