To Our Rêve Academy Community-

We hope that you are staying safe and healthy during these difficult times. As we reflect on the current environment, we are reminded of the importance of embracing the core values that Rêve Academy was founded on and that we empower the students we serve with. It is through these values – Collaboration, Agility, Ingenuity, Authenticity, Empathy, Achievement – that our team is rising to meet the new challenges of today.

Taking Necessary Actions

First and foremost, our priority is the health and safety of our students, partners and staff. Per public health and government recommendations, the Rêve Academy team has been working remotely. Professionals across every sector are quickly understanding the importance of embracing technology and the value of having a digital mindset to accomplish work in a new way – the very skills and abilities we work to develop in our students at Rêve Academy.

Staying Focused On Our Mission

Rêve Academy’s on-site internship program is one of the most impactful experiences we provide students. In the spirit of agility and ingenuity – we will begin facilitating our spring internship virtually (for the first time ever) on Monday, April 6th. Students will be utilizing video conferencing and online tools to execute a corporate project. We are incredibly grateful for the support of our corporate partner Aon on this project and for providing our students with this incredible learning experience! It has been inspiring to see the willingness and energy of our student interns to adapt and show resilience in light of changing expectations.

Making Time to Connect

On top of ensuring we are supporting current students and programming; we are utilizing this time to reach out to Rêve Academy alumni. The economic impact of this crisis is significant and navigating the current and future employment environment will be challenging. Rêve Academy is working to provide critical career services to former Rêve Academy students in the coming months including virtual resume reviews, workshops and more.

Moving Forward

The full impact of COVID 19 is not yet known but we do know it has highlighted the significant disparities that were already present in our community. Now more than ever we must continue our efforts to overcome the achievement and employment gaps that underserved students are facing. While we understand that there are clear immediate needs to respond to – we know that with the support of our Rêve Academy community we will be able to continue the impactful work that we do. Whether through financial support, the donation of your time and talents or the creation of a digital project for our students to work on – every gesture of support matters. We are confident that when we look back on this time, we will remember a Rêve Academy community that came together to deliver on our mission more passionately than ever before.
