13 Jul Announcing Rêve Academy’s Accreditation
We are proud to announce that Rêve Academy has been granted accreditation from the AdvancED Accreditation Commission, the national commission that confers the Northwest Accreditation Commission (NWAC) accreditation seal.
Friends of Rêve Academy—parents, students, teachers, or educational administrators—will be pleased to know that our accrediting body is the global leader in providing continuous improvement and accreditation services to over 32,000 institutions serving 20 million students worldwide. For donors, accreditation signals that their financial contributions are maximized to support student growth.
This step strengthens our partnerships with schools, making it easier for them to award middle school and high school credit for the courses we provide—whether at a school site or at Rêve Academy. It also allows us to explore the future possibility of providing college credit for students who enroll in our courses. Finally, this achievement holds our organization to rigorous standards that we’re excited to maintain.
The accreditation process involves three ongoing components: 1) meeting high quality standards; 2) implementing a continuous process of improvement; and 3) engaging in quality assurance through internal and external review. The agency’s accreditation is for a five-year term with regular monitoring of progress and reporting occurring during the term.
“We are honored to earn accreditation from such an esteemed national organization,” said Brad von Bank, Volunteer Executive Director at Rêve Academy. “The accreditation seal is a testimony to the team and the quality of our program. It also demonstrates our ongoing commitment to improvement as we create pathways to digital careers for students who might not otherwise have the opportunity.”
